About Me

Back in the day I was that cousin who always disappeared right before Thanksgiving dinner, well any dinner really. I would say it was to enjoy the fresh air, and bird watch .. but if you know, you know.  Anyways, by the time I came back, the food was ready, the plates were stacked and dinner was served. 

Not much has changed since those days. It's just now, everyone is taking walks at my house. The same girl who once could only contribute a simple case of soda or paper plates, is now the girl brining turkey, setting the vibes, and hiding desserts so my daughter doesn't eat them before they hit the damned table. 

The creation of Hella Hungry Kitchen is for my people who have also gone through this transition. For the people who season with their hearts and cook with love. For those who are not afraid to explore flavor, color, and most importantly CULTURE.

Growing up in the Bay area meant  I was blessed enough to be immersed in a vibrant mix of culture from a young age. From farmers markets to family kitchens, food became more than just nourishment, it was our way of celebrating community, creativity, and most importantly connection. This diversity has had a profound influence on who I am and the flavors that make way into my kitchen.
